All novelties give more depth to the play and the player an abundance of new possibilities. The battle system and the victory conditions of Anophis were extended and so the battles were made more realistic.
- The victory conditions were balanced in such a way that now all initial positions have the same victory chances.
- Espionage is now possible with more details.
- The defense values of the units were increased. Thus the losses should be cushioned now somewhat.
- Also large armies do not fight with full effectiveness. Starting from 1.000 men sinks the combat effectiveness on up to 0.75%.
- An additional ground modifier was introduced for close combat. Thus for example the troops fight in desert provinces and in the mountains no longer as effectively as on the free surface in a Nile province.
- Further numerous statistics were integrated, which give information over all interests of each player realms.
As new function several Premium functions were added to the play, which one can acquire per game.
These functions cover easily increased food production, tax revenues, increase in the population, more detailed espionage results, an additional spy, improved results with sacrificing and consecrations and boni for attacks and defense.
About Anophis
In Anophis up to 10 players battle on different maps around the supremacy in ancient Egypt.
The emphasis of the play lies clearly on the strategy and not on „Up Leveling" and collecting of economic goods.
Anophis deliberates itself thereby on the virtues of good, old round-based strategy games. A game round lasts between a few hours and one week. Thus Anophis offers a suitable play speed for each type of player. Almost daily new play rounds start.
