Being already hugely successful in Dutch, Stefan, one of the makers of Bulletstar decided to launch an English version of their famous Mafia game started in 2005. Knowing just how much there is to do, to make such a release happen, we were delighted to secure a blitz interview with him!

Galaxy-News: Please introduce yourself to our readers and tell us about your position within the team.

Stefan: Hello, my name is Stefan and I'm the developer of the game.

Galaxy-News: When and why did you start working for Bulletstar and what was your aim when you first started?

Stefan: We started working on the Dutch version of the game in 2005. It was simply for the fun of it. After a long run and some great improvements we decided to start an English test version.

Galaxy-News: What makes Bulletstar different from other web games? Why would you recommend it to our readers?

Stefan: Well, it is different because we implemented a huge variety of features, such as in this game when you die, you will be dead for just 1 hour! Yes, you will lose money but you won't have to start all over again... Some people think that is fantastic and others told me this would be just crazy.

Galaxy-News: How many people are currently playing and what are your future plans or new features and yourself?

Stefan: The Dutch version currently has about 23.000 users, whereas the English version just reached the first thousand players. Well, at the moment we're working on including more unique features to make the game even better than it already is!
Our future plans? I don't really look into the future.. We concentrate on developing and testing new features that the community asks for or that we think might please them. After that we will test, publish and promote them to start the whole process all over again.

Galaxy-News: How much time does a player have to spend within your game on an average day to stay on top?

Stefan: That depends on your game style of the player, and his enemies.

Galaxy-News: What influence do you think web 2.0 could have on future games?

Stefan: That depends on the type of game, If you want to have a game with thousands of players you must have a nice weblayout and a unique style matching both your game and your setting... Web 2.0 has had a great influence on our game on I am sure on lot's of other games out there as well!

Galaxy-News: Thanks ever so much for your time. This is space for additional comments and to say good bye to our readers. Bye and good luck!

Stefan: No problem, Thanks for reading this article! Come and join bulletstar.cc to help us improve the game in many ways or just to have fun!
